Here are some random shots of life at home in the summer...
 |
| Lauren wanted to make a homemade bird feeder :) This is the second time we've made this type of bird feeder with peanut butter and sunflower seeds, but I have yet to see a bird eat off of it...I guess it's the thought that counts :) |
 |
| Playing with their Doc McStuffins bubbles set :) |
 |
| Grandma sent flowers! To celebrate Hannah starting school and Lauren turning 3! |
 |

| Happy 3rd Birthday, Lauren!! |
 |
| Hannah going to meet the teacher on the day before school started! |
Papa A took all 7 of his grandkids to the State Fair! This has become a tradition, and it is always a wonderfully fun adventure. We check out all of the exhibits during the first part of the day, and then eat lunch together before getting our ride wristbands and riding carnival rides all afternoon. The day ends with a tired bunch eating ice cream. Such a fun time.
Hannah's first day of school! She has Ms. Birkland for Kindergarten and is very excited! She has been ready for this day for quite some time and with a smile and a wave was ready to start her Kindergarten fun. She soon met lots of new friends and was telling us all about her kindergarten adventures that afternoon. We are so very proud of her!

| Lauren being silly on purpose...she is quite a pro at silly faces :) |
This is just a random shot from August--the girls on a ride at Wal-mart. They weren't even actually riding it--just playing around. But they were getting along so well I ha to take their picture :)
One of the things she learned in summer school was cup-stacking :)
Lauren's Birthday party at GGA's house! We decided to have her party at GGA's because there was plenty of space, both indoor and outdoor. We were going to do a hotdog roast, but decided to eat indoors and have BBQ instead because it was raining most of the time. So glad that everyone could join us to celebrate--it was such a fun time! The kiddos had a great time playing together. I'm not sure I got a good picture of the cake, but it was a Frozen-themed party, of course.
The next day...7:00 in the morning and Lauren is sporting her new birthday dress and playing her new Memory game. And she also wanted a PBJ for breakfast. :)
At a skating party for our friend, Juliana. This was Lauren's first time on skates and it lasted for approximately 20 seconds :) She looks like she's doing well here, but she preferred her tennis shoes!
Hannah has been skating several times now and likes it quite a bit.
More random shots from home...
Lauren's meet the teacher day at Hilltop preschool. She is in the 2/3 class at Hilltop this year and her teachers are Ms. Cori and Ms. Jill. On this day, she got to go in and see her classroom and teachers and also got to go meet her music teacher and play with the toys in the music room. She had a great time.
 |
| Taking school supplies in all by herself! |
 |
