November!

It was Royals Mania in November! This was a selfie of us (those of us who stayed up late and watched the game!) watching the winning World Series game! Hannah actually fell asleep during it, but we woke her up for the last part of the game so she could see the win and celebrate. We also woke Lauren up, as promised,...but she fell right back asleep to the sound of fireworks throughout the neighborhood. :)

A couple of days after the big Royals win, there was the Royals parade in downtown KC. Schools were canceled that day (A BLUE SNOW DAY!!), so we had a fun time watching the parade on t.v. and celebrating with blue foods :) We did not go to the parade...I considered it, but many factors including massive crowds with very few eating and toileting facilities, as well as very few transportation/parking options, kept us home. I was glad, in the long run, that we watched from the comfort of our couch! Much more fun with the kiddos than venturing in a crowd of 600,000+ and getting down there and not being able to see anything! Greg had to work this day :( Otherwise he would have celebrated with us! We saved some blue food for him!

Downtown Liberty's fountain was BLUE, as were all of the fountains in KC.

A little break from the parade for some t-ball outside. The girls really have started liking playing t-ball since watching the Royals :)
More "blue" food :)

Our chocolate dipping party with blue chocolate :)

One of the many blessings of Liberty has been great neighbors! We love our neighborhood and have lots of friends who live close by. Some of our neighbors recently moved and this was a get-together just prior to them leaving town.  Such a sweet group of kiddos!

A magical moment of sisters loving each other and getting along!! ;)

And I wonder why it takes us a long time to walk to pick Hannah up from school ;) Lauren likes to stop and look at bugs, worms, flowers, etc. And she likes to ride the tricycle...which requires me pushing her up any incline at all. But she loves being outside, and I love that!

The magic of bubbles at storytime.

Lauren's Thanksgiving performance. So sweet!! It's a wonderful little performance and party that is a tradition at Second Friends. They sing some sweet songs and then we have a Thanksgiving "meal" of fruit cocktail, candy corn, popcorn, and mini-muffins :)

Celebrating Thanksgiving in Columbia--we had a great time making the rounds to celebrate Thanksgiving with everyone! We stayed with Gramma Nell and had meals with her, Papa Charlie (at cousin Brenda's house), and Gramma Jan and Grampa Bill. We also had time to pick out a Christmas tree for Gramma Jan and Grampa Bill, decorate their tree, and make advent calendars twice! Phew! A busy but great trip.

Decorating gingerbread houses!

Hannah started gymnastics this fall and has enjoyed it. She really tries hard at it and is a great listener in class.
