Hannah is 1!

Sorry about the delay with the posts...with all of the birthday and holiday celebrations, we've been quite busy. On top of that, our computer was getting fixed and thus we couldn't upload any pictures. So now Hannah's blog is back...and we have a lot of catching up to do.

We had a really fun birthday party in Columbia for Hannah on December 23rd. We were joined by many family members (20 people total) for pizza, cake and ice cream, and of course some present opening. Hannah was somewhat interested in the gifts, and very excited about playing with her cousins and getting chocolate cake all over her! We just kind of let her go at the cake, and I guess you could say that she made the most of the experience...as evidenced by the pictures :) Thanks to everyone for making the party so fun, and for everyone's love toward Hannah (and us) over the past year. Hannah is one lucky little girl to have so many people who love her. We can't believe that a year has passed already, but what a wonderful year it's been!

Playing before the party started (carrying a plastic doughnut) :) Sporting her pink tu-tu and striped leg warmers.

Opening presents with lots of help from her cousins.

A new princess cup! Yay!

Papa Ralph, Grampa Bill, and a very squirmy Hannah. It's amazing how many pictures you can take and still end up with...lots of blurry pictures of a squirmy one year old not looking at the camera :)

a new doll from Grandma and Papa A!

So the day before her birthday, Hannah learned how to put one finger up when we asked "How old are you?" It was SO cute :) So of course, we had to keep asking her throughout the party :)

The teddy bear cake that I made for "Hannah Bear"

Hannah had her own little cake that said "Hannah is 1". She wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first...

But then she dug right in!

and got messier...

and messier!

Thanks for checking the blog...more pics to come of Christmas celebrations and Hannah's life as a one-year-old. Hope that everyone's new year is going well and that you are staying safe and warm despite this crazy winter weather! As I write, we have a winter wonderland outside with subzero windchills. Brrr...
