We had a great time visiting our friends Mark and Mandi in South Dakota over Labor Day weekend. They were our neighbors from Columbia and we have both since moved, but we still keep in touch and try to visit each other a couple of times a year. We always have a great time at their house--lots of outdoor fun with picking apples, making apple cider, playing on the swingset, taking a ride around the farm, etc. Their kids are the most outdoorsy kids I've ever met and Hannah was introduced to toads, salamanders, and caterpillars! Who knew that toads liked to go down the slide?! We decided that Hannah fit right in and is definitely an outdoor/country girl at heart--she could spend all day outside! And to add to the excitement, we got to meet little Bennett Drymalski for the first time! It was a wonderful weekend and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many more years!
Taking a ride around the farm!

Nate with Mr. Toad :) Nate has a toad with him about 99% of the time when he is outside :)

Hannah got a whole apple to much on for the first time ever...and thereafter had about 50 apples throughout the weekend :)

Playing on the swingset with Nora

Going for a ride on the very cool bike trailer/jog stroller which the kids love!
