March! Springtime and Easter and lots of exciting times in the Mees household :) Here's some catching up from the past month or so!
These two shots are of Lauren in her crib, just before nap time. She was trying to convince me to let her keep her flashlight and her book in the bed with her. She wasn't successful, but she was so cute I had to snap her picture. I know the days of the crib don't last forever and these shots capture her on a typical day. She always goes to sleep with her penguin and her blankies. These days, she's napping once a day (just switched from only a morning nap to one afternoon nap). She still is an early riser in the mornings (around 6:00) and goes to sleep early too (6:00 or 6:30!).
Lauren-Lou geared up to go outside...but eating a yogurt pop first. Silly girl.

| Ever since she was really little, she's preferred to drink from a straw. Just a little quirk, and a cute one at that. |

| A typical day. I think we were going to get Hannah's glasses adjusted (again!!) on this day :) |
 |
| I love this shot. They are so silly and so loving towards each other. No, not all of the time...but a lot of the time :) |

| Hannah took this one :) |

| Ha! A scene from our kitchen on a typical day...2 silly girls. |
These next few shots are from our trip to Oak Park Mall in Overland Park. Hannah had been saving her money since October and had saved up over a hundred dollars. She had saved some money from Christmas and birthday, and also gets quarters for doing chores above and beyond what is expected daily. Also, she gets quarters occasionally for good behavior/being kind to her sister, etc. So she had her sights set on an American Girl doll, and even specified that she wanted Kit. But it ended up that before we even went to the Americal Girl store, she found out that there was a Disney store!! And the Disney store had Doc McStuffens stuff there!! She was so excited :) And actually, we were excited too :) She ended up spending some (not all) of her money on several Doc McStuffens toys (a doll, some figurines, a shirt, etc). And she still had some money left over. We were very proud of her, and she was so excited. If you aren't familiar with Doc McStuffens, it is a new Disney show that features a little girl who pretends to be a doctor who fixes all of her toys. This is Hannah's new craze :) I think it's even bigger than Wizard of Oz was! Hannah has been playing doctor almost daily since she was 2, so this just fit right in to her life :) Now she has songs, toys, and a role-model to be excited about. And we have the theme song perpetually in our heads :) I think she sang the song about 65 times on the way back from Overland Park. That is a conservative estimate.

Easter!! Church services, breakfasts, Easter egg dying, hunting for eggs, Easter bunny visits, yummy Easter treats, visits with relatives...lots of Easter fun!
 |
| Inspecting the loot from the Easter bunny! Lauren wasn't too excited at first, but she caught on when she smelled chocolate :) |

| Happy Easter! |
So then it was off to church at Rocheport United Methodist Church for the 7:00 a.m. sunrise service. GGA managed to get a day pass to get out of Rusk Rehab Center to go to church, so it was quite a big event for all of us.
 |
| Back at home...still eating chocolate eggs :) Lauren sometimes doesn't care for chocolate, cookies, etc. But apparently on this day, she loved the chocolate marshmallow eggs :) |

| No, this is not a good photo. But it absolutely captures Hannah on Easter afternoon. She got a new Doc McStuffens Dr. kit and she was a blur as she ran around playing with it all afternoon...and every day after that! |
