April!

Hello everyone! Just catching up after a month or so of not posting. These are some pictures from our April adventures. Things are going well--just two busy girls whose bedtimes are getting later, leaving little time for me to post these pictures :) Will try to get caught up in the next few days!

April was full of  sunny days, rainy days, and even several very snowy days! Plenty of time for a lot of different fun activities! One rainy day, we went over to Shawnee to Little Monkey Bizness, which is a fun playland-type place with an art room that Hannah loves. This was Lauren's first time to experience the art room, and she had a blast too!

I absolutely love it when the girls find something they can do while getting along...no hitting, hair-pulling, or screaming!! On this particular day, it was playing Hannah's little video game. The moments of sisterly love are adorable and do tend to make up for those not-so-nice moments in between times :)

Here they are again getting along great at the neighborhood park. This was a beautiful day, and they had such a great time. Hannah is really helpful to Lauren as she learns to climb around on the playground. Hannah has just learned to push herself on the swings, and Lauren has just learned to climb up on the equipment on the semi-circle monkey bars independently!

Storytime at the library! This was toddler storytime, which includes parachute time--a favorite of both girls :)

Lauren loves to play in the sink these days. She could play with a cup, dishsoap, and water for probably 2 hours if I let her. However, she loves to dump it on the counter and floor, so the playing usually ends long before she would like it to!

Enjoying the nice Spring weather by playing outside!

Paradise Park continues to be one of the girls' favorite places. Lauren is starting to be able to do more of the activities there. They both love the climbing structure and the face painting, as well as the water play and art room. A perfect place for little ones :)

Yum...corn on the cob! It's a favorite of both of the girls. Lauren is a pro already at eating it! Must have learned from her big sis :)

A perfect morning for painting in pjs! Art continues to be a favorite activity for both girls. Hannah loves painting, beading, coloring in coloring books, and using scissors to create works of art. Lauren loves painting, using play-dough, and scribbling with crayons/markers too.

This is a picture of Hannah with her good friend Hannah B, at Hannah B's birthday party. Hannah B  is a really sweet girl. At the party, Hannah watched Cinderella for the first time and they all got Cinderella tu-tu's. They were so excited :)

We had a TON of snow this year. Here are some pictures of our big April snowstorm!

Here are some random shots from April...

Hannah playing pretend birthday party with her dollies :)
Lo-lo, the littlest birder, at the window in the living room with her bird identification guide from Grampa Bill. She is really interested in birds and in fact, "bird" was one of her first words. She likes to sit by the window while I tell her about the few birds that I know.
The girls up in the playland at Chick-Fil-A on the first day that Lauren was able to climb to the top of it. Hannah is such a helper to Lauren and it was sweet to watch them play together :) It is great for Lauren to have a helper up there, because I remember the first time Hannah went up in that playland and I had to go after her when she couldn't come down on her own :)!
Lauren all dressed up in dance gear! She loves to get dressed up :)
Hannah with our ginormous dessert on Hannah-Mommy night out at Red Robin. She was so thrilled to be able to pick out any dessert on the menu. When the waitress asked her what she wanted, Hannah replied "Which is the biggest dessert?"...and therefore this is the one we got :)

The girls at preschool story time at the library. Hannah always likes to sit right up front by Mrs. Lois and on this day Lauren ran up from the back where the parents sit to join Hannah at the front :)

Just another silly day!

Hannah and a very nice firefighter posing together at Hannah's preschool field trip to the Liberty Fire Station

The girls playing around in the car. Yes, that's the front seats that they are in. Good thing they didn't have the keys!!

This is a picture of Hannah singing in choir at church. We started going to a new church and Hannah sang in the choir while we went to Sunday School. Well, after about 2 Sundays, they had their performance. She was SO excited when they told her they were having a performance. She loved every minute of it! Only afterwards did we realize that the 3/4 yr old choir was too crowded, so she had been put in choir with the kids who just finished kindergarten...2 years ahead of where she is! Ha! She did great and is looking forward to doing it again in the fall :)
