February!

February!
We had quite a bit of snow in February, which provided plenty of *cold* opportunities for sledding! We love that we have good neighbors nearby to play with on snowy days! There were MANY snow days for Liberty Public Schools this year, and therefore several snow days for Hannah's preschool as well.  We made the most of the snowy days with hot chocolate, sledding, and indoor fun.  Unfortunately, the snow this year wasn't too conducive to snowman-building because it didn't pack well.  But we DID sing "Do you want to build a snow-man...approximately 1002 times." :)

I took Hannah to the Wizard of Oz ballet over in Overland Park and we had a wonderful night out.  We went to the Oak Park Mall and I let her pick out an outfit of her choice (she chose a pretty gold skirt and a purple sweater that says "Shine") and we rode on the carousel.  We ate dinner at Panera and then headed over to the performance.  After we both quickly realized that there would be NO speaking by the dancers (apparently it has been a long time since I've seen a ballet!) and that the music was different from the movie, we actually really enjoyed it.  The story line was the same, so it was easy to follow. Hannah really liked it and it was really special to have an evening out together.

Hanging out at home :)

Hannah walked over to see if Addie was home and she was wearing fake high heels, a crown, jewelry, etc. Quite the sight :)
So fun to have great neighbors to come play on cold winter days! Lauren and Kallie playing Pop the Pig :)

Hannah did her own nails!!

A trip to Columbia! Spending time with the cousins at Grandma Nell's House!

Hannah's Valentine's Day Party at Second Friends! They had chocolate fondue, decorated cookies, had crafts, and games too.  Such a fun time with her sweet preschool friends!

All dressed up like Dorothy and ready to go to Crown Center! There was a Wizard of Oz exhibit there to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz.  We made a day of it, going to Legoland and Fritz's train restaurant too. The girls love Crown Center, and it's always a full day of fun.

Valentine's Day morning! We've started somewhat of a tradition now, where the girls do a treasure hunt with clues to find a present on Valentine's morning.  At the end of the treasure hunt this year there was a Frozen case filled with Anna and Elsa dress-up clothes. A big hit! The girls also made the sweetest Valentine's for us and for each other.  A very sweet day!

A visit to Gramma Jan's and Grampa Bill's House! Reading and doing crafts with Gramma Jan and helping Grampa Bill feed the birds :)
