November!

Some snapshots from November!

Lauren's first attempt at writing her name all by herself.  I found this little gem after she had been drawing on her own for awhile.  She seems to really love letters and lately has been asking a lot about letter she sees, which letters are in her name, etc.  She also really wants to learn how to read.  She likes to look through my paperback books, which she calls "books with no pictures" and look at all of the words.

Baking with mama!

November brought our first Daisy Girl Scout meeting.  This is our super cute troop of 7 girls (and a couple of big sister helpers).  I'm the assistant leader and so far it's lots of fun :)

November brought the first snow! Hooray! All bundled up :)

Thanksgiving with the Mees side--the kid table!

Lauren and Kate rockin' out together at the Alexander side Thanksgiving.

On the hayride out to the Christmas Tree farm.  It was a beautiful day--in the 50's--as we helped Gramma Jan and Grampa Bill look for just the right tree!

Baking some sugar cookies. She loves to roll out the dough and use the cookie cutters.  She's always been a big fan of play-dough type play, and this fits the bill :)

Decorating Gramma Jan's  tree and realizing that the ornament has her baby picture on it :)

Back in Liberty, the Sunday after Thanksgiving we had the Hanging of the Greens and the Christmas cookie decorating party at church.
