February!

Happy February, everyone! We started off the month with a big snow! Grandma Jan and Grandpa Bill were here and got to share in the snow fun! Snowball fights, snowmen, sledding, and hot chocolate! We have a tradition where every day that it snows, we can have hot chocolate...always a good way to start off a snow day!

A trip to the zoo on a nice winter day :) The girls continue to really love the zoo. Each day that we go, we see something different, which is a neat part about living close enough that we can go quite a bit. On this day, we saw tons of kangaroos and even a little Joey in its mother's pouch. The girls' favorite parts of the zoo are probably feeding the animals (sheep, deer, goats), the slide in the Children's Barn, and the Carousel.

Valentine's Day fun! Mom and Howard were in Liberty a few days before Valentine's Day, so we took a special trip to Target and Lauren helped Grandma shop for treats for all of the cousins. Then Lauren helped her arrange them in the little buckets. Lauren was so proud of her work :) And excited to get a Valentine's Day bucket of her own, too :)

Lauren after she came home from school the day of her Valentine's party. She was SO excited to go through all of her cards and treats. I could barely get her to look up for a picture :)
Hannah and her friend, Violet, at the Father/Daughter Girl Scout dance. A fun night for all! Dancing, board games, ice cream...lots of good times :) A picture of Hannah and Greg to come...

This was when we dropped off the blue Taurus at the high school to donate it to the shop class. We got a new car and so we donated the old one. It was a great car for us for many years, but it was coming to the time when it wasn't as reliable, so it was time to replace it. I didn't anticipate it being such a sentimental moment, but it really was...lots of good times with that car, including bringing Hannah home from the hospital! Hannah also loved to take rides with Daddy in the Taurus.

Valentine's Day! Started out with a treasure hunt and a yummy breakfast of cinnamon rolls and strawberry milk :)

We got a special treat when Grace and her dance team came to Kansas City and danced in a competition. We went to see them and it was so fun! they did great, and of course the girls had a great time.

Kate and Alex stayed for an overnight at our house, and some fun in the snow.

Lauren watching the fish tank at Orange Easel art studio when she went for a preschool art class. That place is so much fun.

Lauren running around the kitchen with a giant blob of cookie dough...one happy girl :)
