May!

We had our last Wednesday Night dinner for the year at church in May, and the children's choirs performed a program. Gramma Jan and Grampa Bill came up to see it and stayed for ice cream from Cody's afterward :) Pretty much every time we are at church, the girls ask if we can stop by and get Cody's ice cream, but that day we really could! They were excited.

Hannah's Kindergarten class field trip to Weston Red Barn Farm. It was a beautiful day. They rode the bus and had a great time learning about farm life, petting animals, and planting flowers. Lauren and I drove out and met them for the field trip and lunch.

 Chocolate Strata Pie before bedtime!

Lauren all decked out in her naturalist gear ;) She loves to go out looking for bugs...even when wearing a tutu.

Lauren's last day of Preschool at Hilltop. Ms Cori and Ms Jill's 2/3 class. What a wonderful first school experience. They were awesome teachers and we are so thankful for a great year. Lauren loved it!

Hannah's second class field trip. We rode the school bus to Kaleidoscope, the art studio at Hallmark at Crown Center. A fun trip with silly girls :)

Hannah and Lauren practicing their volleyball skills together.

Hannah learning to ride a bike and Lauren trying to ride her trike down the hill too. Trikes don't work real well on grass, though!

Lauren helping to "babysit" Huxley. She pushed her in the swing and read books to her. Such a sweet friend to her littlest friend.

Hannah's Field Day at school. Games, Popsicles, and Silliness, followed by lunch in the cafeteria with Lauren and Mom. What a treat :)

Hannah's last day of Kindergarten!

A Spring Trip to the zoo and the Wild Bird show.

Lauren riding her bike...with a leotard and her shoes on the wrong feet...

Miss Engineer, Hannah, with her toothpick and marshmallow sculpture. Two months later, it's still in our kitchen :)

At the end of May, we went to Omaha and stayed with the Drymalskis at Two Rivers State Park. We stayed in cute little cabooses and "camped" for a couple of days. We had campfire food, went fishing, played on the playground, rode bikes, and even had time to go to the Omaha Zoo one day. It was a wonderful trip! Perfect vacation time!

Lauren tried her hand at fishing, but really she just loved playing with the worms! She didn't want them to be used as bait. I ended up walking with her from the lake back to the caboose. We went to the little bait store and bought her her very own night crawlers to play with...not fish with. She had so much fun :)

Sticky S'more fingers!  Yum!
