Summer Fun!
Our trip to Tantara! We went to Tantara for an overnight to see Gramma Jan make her speech when running for President-Elect of MO School Boards Association. She won! Hooray! It was a really fun time. The girls LOVED the resort atmosphere...mini-golf, bowling, gift shops and ice cream shop, water park...all at the hotel. :)
| The bowling alley had not been remodeled since probably 1960. It was awesome though...even had overhead projectors for the scoring "film". Guess who won? The littlest one! |
| Arcade! |
| Everyone loves arcades and "tickets", especially Daddy :) |
| Playing "Bean-boozled" in the hotel room. We got this "game" from the gift shop, at Hannah's request. It has different jelly bellies that look similar and then you don't know if you will get a gross one or a good one. For example...chocolate pudding or dog food?! Yuck! But very fun. |
| Having brunch together at the hotel :) Sisterly love. |
| Back in KC...this was on our Streetcar adventure. There is a new streetcar that goes from City Market to Union Station. We drove to the KC Library, looked at the Shakespeare Folio exhibit, then hopped on the streetcar and went to Union Station for the day. Science City, Spin Pizza, Crown Center...fun day! |
| Lauren and her mini dolly :) |
| This is the one photo I managed to get of Hannah at Power Play. We see this arcade every time we go to her eye doctor, so I told her that when she gets to stop patching, we can go. Well, she has been patient from probably over a year now. Even though she still has to patch a couple of hours a day, I thought it was time we went. She has done an awesome job with her patching and has been so patient with it! And her eye has improved a ton. Power play was lots of fun...roller coaster, arcade, bumper cars! I think it's her new favorite place :) |
| Father's Day! |
| Trying out instruments on Make Music Liberty Day at Palen Music. This was a really fun day where there were musical venues and activities all over the city. We walked around a bit, stopped to get some Classy's cookies and listen to some music at the courthouse too. It was fun, but HOT! |
| We met Hannah's teacher, Mrs. Gosnell at Clinton's Ice Cream shop in Independence! She said if we were ever going to be in the area to let her know. She was so sweet to meet us and then take us to her house to let Hannah meet her puppy. What a fun summer treat! We had to hit Diamond Bowl afterwards, since it's one of our favorite spots. Hooray for summer days. |
| Our friends Kate and Grace were in the Sleeping Beauty play and we got to see them perform! They did great and it was so fun to see them! |
| Kate and Alex came to Liberty! We had lots of fun playing at home and also went to dinner at Fran and Bob's house and walked to Cody's afterward. We love having people come and visit...always a fun time! |
| They all slept in this bed! |
| Girl Scout Day at the K with Dad! |
| Then home for more playing with cousins! |
| Skating together...Hannah helping Lauren go to the little coin machines so she could spend her money...sweet |
| Yay! |
| They wanted to do the photo booth together...adorable! |
| Hannah and I working on a sewing project...an Ipad case! It turned out really cute! Might have to fit her IPad Mini for school instead of the one that it was intended for...but it is still really cute! |
| Miss Lauren trying on Hannah's old glasses...she really wants glasses, but her eyes are shockingly perfect! I've taken her to get checked twice and still can't believe it...no glasses for her! |
