The Mees Family: March 2019!

Our friend Grace was in the production of Newsie's and did a great job! It was fun to see her perform with the other middle schoolers at LMS!

We met Uncle Dave, Aunt Geni, Maggie and Sam at Maggie's Volleyball game in Lee's Summit!

For Spring Break, we went to explore Arkansas. We like short-ish road trips and this is an area we hadn't been to before. We stayed for a couple of nights at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Ranch, which is a refuge for big cats. Our room was just feet away from sleeping big cats and we could hear their roars in the early mornings! We loved the tour and learned a lot about big cats--it was a really neat place! We also went to Bentonville and Eureka Springs. In Bentonville, we went to Crystal Bridges Art Museum. We also went to a really cool local chocolate shop where we got to sample a lot of different types of chocolate. It was a neat store to stumble upon! We also went to the Wal-mart museum and soda fountain. In Eureka Springs, we explored the neat little town and went out to eat at a fancy restaurant!

Lauren and I went to a book premier for my friend, Niki! She's been writing for years, but this was her first book to be published and it was so great! It was fun to get the celebrate with her at the event. It's such a funny book, too. The girls enjoyed us reading it out loud and we got a lot of laughs out of it.

Hannah at horseback riding lessons. She is really enjoying it. It's at a farm/ranch up in Kearney and it's so beautiful and peaceful there.
