May 2019!

Happy May!

Girls on the Run! Hannah had a great time doing Girls on the Run this year! They practiced twice a week for several weeks, did a practice 5k, then did a final 5k. It was a great time and lots of her friends did it as well so that was extra fun!

Kate was here playing soccer the same day as the race and we got to see her!

The 5k was at Children's Mercy Park near Nebraska Furniture Mart, so of course we had to go there afterward to look for a new kitchen table.

Hannah's field trip to Mt. Gilead, a one room schoolhouse! Hannah had to wear a dress from the time period, and pack a lunch that consisted only of time period food (no pre-packaged cookies, etc). This was a really neat field trip!

Hannah taught us how to make homemade butter in a mason jar!

Jensen's graduation from Rock Bridge! Yay, Jensen!

The last Skate Night of the year, where they toilet-paper the teachers! This is the teachers' idea and they are good sports :)

Field Day!

Hannah and Greg got to go to a special fine arts banquet at DMS.

Hannah and her horses :)

Soccer for Lauren :)

Last Day of School! Shark Marathon and then Talent Show! Hannah did the Shark Marathon (you run 25 miles on your own during the last several weeks of school, then run the last mile at school with the big group). Both girls played piano in the talent show. So proud of them for being brave enough to show their talents in front of their peers :)

Ice cream after school!

New little sloths from Grandma Jan! These girls are sloth crazy!

Lauren got to be a Zookeeper for a day at the Kansas City Zoo and she loved every minute of it! Best part? It rained, so she got to ride the golf cart around! In the first picture, she's showing us stingray teeth that she found that she kept in her lanyard.

Mother's Day! Love these girls so much!

 Ready for church :)

Serve Day at Church! Once a year, we don't have church service and instead, we do service projects all over town. This time, our family helped with a renovation of a house that the church owns. Our new pastoral resident will be staying there when he comes to town. The girls also worked on painting some decorations for VBS.

Making pancakes!

Swimming lessons!

Kate came to visit again! We love it when she has to come to KC to play soccer!

Chocolate fountain with Poplar Lane!
