June 2018

 Summer Time 2018!

Trying out the new trampoline park in town--Above All Trampoline Park!

One week in June, Hannah spent the week at Horse Camp at Stephen's College in Columbia. She stayed with Gramma Jan and did fun things there, while Lauren did fun things here in Liberty!

When the week was over, we met Gramma Jan and Grampa Bill at ArrowRock, where they treated us to Mary Poppins at the Lyceum. It was fantastic! Amazing music and choreography.

We took an awesome trip to Branson with the Alexanders and Dyers! We stayed at Branson Shores resort for the week with cousins and it was awesome!  It was a perfect getaway. Papa A was so generous to provide this trip and he joined us for a couple days as well.

At Fantastic Caverns on the way down to Branson

Mini Golf--

The view from our cabin. This is our dock--complete with fun rafts, kayaks, a giant water trampoline, a boat, etc....all for us to use for the week!

The pool at Branson Landing was great and each night we gathered there to swim, listen to music, play games, soak in the hot tub, and even drink free soda on some nights :)

Silver Dollar City! Many of these pictures are of Lauren because she and I hung out most of the day together. The older kids rode lots of roller coasters and we stuck to some of the tamer rides. We all had a great time!

The Samson Play was a highlight of our trip too!

Eating at Dairyland! Yummy milkshakes and an old-fashioned diner!

Roasting marshmallows and eating smores at the fire pit at Branson Shores

Movies with cousins :)

Cookie and ice cream time!

Our pet turtle, Rocky! Kenny, the property manager, found him and we adopted him for the week. Sometimes when all was quiet you could hear Rocky munching away on whatever vegetable we had thrown into his bucket for the day :)

Back in Liberty--Hannah spent a week at Harry Potter day camp at Earnest Sheperd Center and Lauren spent a week at Martha LaFite Nature Center doing a "Bug Camp"/Nature Camp

Melting Pot! The girls loved this place. We did too, except we thought we could reproduce the experience for quite a bit cheaper at home...so we did a couple of days later!

"Melting Pot" at home with Grandma visiting!

Anselme is our new neighbor! So exciting that he joined our Poplar Lane family!

Lauren took dance lessons at Studio 10 a couple of weeks this summer. She took ballet/modern and liked it!

Lauren played soccer for the first time. Her coach was Devin, a teacher at DMS who graciously volunteered when he heard they didn't have a coach! Lauren loved soccer and Devin was an awesome coach! Lauren scored several goals throughout the season. She scored on the very first play of her first game!
